Review: NYX Extra Creamy Round Lipstick (Thalia/LSS529)

NYX Extra Creamy Round Lipstick (or also known as Lip Smacking Fun Colors Lipstick) is the cheapest variant of all NYX lipsticks. And this Thalia shade is my all time favorite. The one I review here is with their latest packaging but the formula was no different with the old ones, or so I thought, because I've bought this many many times.

The packaging is quite simple with black sleek tube and a small clear tube on the bottom that indicates each shade. I once opened it, and it really contains some share of the lipstick. No kidding. So when you're out of it, you can go with the bottom tube.

I bought this online for IDR 65K.

My shade is Thalia, my darling shade.

The bullet shape is a classic pointy one. There's some strong scent coming out of the tube, and what I learn from several thousand times of application is that the tube is so fragile it easily broke.

Thalia is what I describe as nude pinky mauve. There's a slight hint of purple. It is very very creamy, smooth, and pigmented. Easy application alert.

As I mention several times before, this is my favorite shade and my favorite lipstick of all time. I have bought this ever since NYX opened their official counter in Indonesia and I fell in love right away with this shade. Thalia is your MLBB shade and a perfect nude for all occassion. But please beware because on some people, this shade could look a bit pale. My friend used to try this and it didn't perfectly blend with her, although she has fair complexion.

This lipstick has creamy formula and finishing. It doesn't dry your lips at all. But its decent moisture sometimes backfires since it easily transfers to anything, even my teeth. So having your coffee with your lipstick mark on the cup is not a very pleasant thing, especially since I'm quite used to wear some matte lip stain nowadays.

This lipstick won't stay long on your lips either, so you'll need to take this with you for retouching. It will only last for an hour or so, not to mention if you have that sloppy eating attitude. 

Oh, and btw, sometimes they don't have this stock with them. If that happens, I would buy the shade Tea Rose. It has quite similar shade with Thalia but more like peach or pink rather than mauve.

Review: Princess Universe Soft Lenses (Mars)

So it's gonne be my second chance to review softlenses from Princess Universe. I wrote about these in different color (click here). For me Princess Universe Soft Lenses answer my need in terms of their wide range of power and super bright colors.

The packaging is not my favourite though. Princess Universe Softlenses has their products packed in a bottle. So hard to open. But I wrote about how to open this kind of packaging. Check it out here.

Color system:

As I told you before, my favorite thing about Princess Universe Soft Lenses is their power which is available up to -15.00, super bright colors, and more importanly: the diameter is not too big.

The variant I bought was Mars, or red. For those of you who loves pretty patterns on your softlenses, you might reconsider purchasing this since they don't really have great one. Just some red shades blotted onto a piece of soft lens with thick black outter ring. But I really don't care, as long as I can have colored lenses, comfortbale to wear, and non-blurry vision.

Pardon my bald eyebrows here. As you can see, this softlens doesn't have that extra eye-enlarging effect. It sure is make your eyeballs look bigger, but not in an overwhelming kind of way. What I don't like is the black outter ring, it seems like it made my eyes absolutely look fake, if only it doesn't exist, then this softlens might have been perfect.

My anime eyes.

I don't have any problem at all wearing this on daily basis because, although it's red, but the shade is not too bright and still looks wearable. At least they won't make you look too scary or something. When people pass you by, nobody would seem to notice your red eyes, unless if they look closely to your face.

But here's what I gotta say. This variant has lower level of comfort compared to my previous one in the pink shade (Andromeda). The same thing happened when I tried their brown shade. I don't know how this could happen. I mean, the same type SHOULD have the same comfort lavel, right? Anyone has a clue?

Well, however, compared to other colored softlenses, Princess Universe Soft Lenses are more comfortbale than any other colored lenses, at least for me. But I still won't recommend you to wear these kind softlenses for more than 6 hours of usage. If you have to do that, wear a clear one. Much comfortable, and a lot safer.

Review: Amethyst Lippy Scrub Matcha & Creme Brulee (*)

Beberapa waktu lalu saya memenangkan giveaway yang diadakan oleh Amethyst berupa dua buah scrub bibir dengan dua varian: Matcha dan Creme Brulee. Senangnya, karena kebetulan produk yang saya menangkan adalah produk yang lumayan sering dipake, bahkan wajib. Jadi bakalan kepake banget ini.

 

Ngomongin kemasan, Amethyst Lippy Scrub dikemas dalam jar plastik berukuran mini. Besar kemasannya ini mengingatkan saya akan jar lip balm-nya The Body Shop, atau eyeshadow base dari NYX, kira-kira sebesar itu. Cuma bedanya ini terbuat dari plastik dan isinya bener-bener banyak walaupun kemasannya kecil.

 

Saat ini Amethyst Lippy Scrub dijual seharga IDR 40K untuk isi 15 gram.

 

 

Buat yang was-was apakah Amethyst Lippy Scrub pernah ditowel-towel sama tangan iseng, tenang aja, karena kemasannya sendiri dilengkapi oleh seal plastik. Jadi selama seal ini masih menempel rapi, dijamin barang yang kamu terima masih baru.

 

 

Seperti yang udah saya sebutkan di atas, varian yang saya dapat adalah Matcha dan Creme Brulee. Sebenernya saya ngincer yang bubble gum, penasaran aja gimana kalo ada lippy scrub bau permen karet. Hehehe.

 

Oh ya berikut ini adalah daftar komposisi bahannya ya, tapi karena bentuk kemasannya yang melingkar, saya jadi agak susah mengambil gambarnya. Jadi saya tulis ulang di sini.

 

Matcha:

Sugar, Extra Virgin Olive Oil infused with Organic Vanilla Bean, Virgin Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Honey, Wallnut Shell Powder, Matcha (Japanese Green Tea), Vitamin E.

 

Creme Brulee:

Sugar, Extra Virgin Olive Oil infused with Organic Vanilla Bean, Virgin Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Honey, Wallnut Shell Powder, Lip Safe Flavour Oil, Vitamin E.

 

Kamu mungkin bisa lihat kalo perbedaan komposisi bahan di antar kedua varian ini terletak pada kandungan Matcha dan Lip Safe Flavour Oil. Ga tau yaaa kalo varian yang lain. Bisa kamu liat juga kalo bahan-bahan yang digunakan di sini adalah bahan-bahan organik.

 

 

 

Isinya itu sebanyak 15 gram untuk ukuran jar sekecil ini. Bener-bener padat dan banyak loh, bahkan agak bleber sedikit saking penuhnya.

 

 

Sesuai dengan judul varian masing-masing, yang Matcha berwarna hijau dengan aroma green tea (tapi tetap ada aroma manisnya sih walau sedikit), sedangkan untuk yang creme brulee berwarna krem dengan aroma khas creme brulee yang maniiiis banget. Sekilas seperti bau vanilla.

 

 

 

 

Tekstur keduanya juga gak jauh beda, kasar. Ya iyyalah, namanya juga lippy scrub. Hanya warna dan aroma saja yang membedakan.

 

 

Karena menggunakan bahan organik, lippy scrub ini juga edible, alias gak apa-apa kalau tertelan, rasanya juga manis kok. Tapi bukan berarti mentang-mentang edible, terus kamu buat makan ya. Ingat ini bukan permen.

 

Untuk pengaplikasiannya juga cukup mudah. Colek sedikit aja lalu gosok ke seluruh bagian bibir Tapi ada dua hal yang harus kamu perhatikan ketika menggunakan lippy scrub (semua merk lippy scrub, bukan ini aja):

 

1. Gosok lippy scrub ke bibirmu dengan penuh perasaan. Jangan terlalu napsu karena akan membuat bibir iritasi. Yang mau kita kelupas hanya kulit mati, bukan kulit bibir kita.
2. Sebisa mungkin scrub bagian bibirmu saja tanpa ikut menggosok bagian kulit sekitar bibir, karena hal ini juga bisa membuat kulit iritasi. Saking napsunya saya pernah scrub sampe keluar-luar, yang ada sekitar bibir saya malah menghitam.

 

 

Sekilas hasilnya di foto atas emang gak keliatan beda jauh ya. Tapi yang saya rasakan juga beda. Rasanya bibir jadi lebih bersih, dan setelah memakai ini pun bibir gak terasa kering tanpa harus menggunakan pelembab bibir. Biasanya kalo saya scrub pake madu dan gula, saya harus pake lip balm lagi setelahnya. Eh tapi itu kalo saya ya, mungkin buat kamu yang bibirnya super kering, silakan pake estra lip balm setelahnya. Enaknya kamu aja kok.

 

Kebetulan saya lagi demen-demennya pake lipstik matte yang lagi kekinian itu. Kalo menghapusnya dengan makeup remover, kadang masih ada sedikit bagian yang susah dihapus dan sakit kalo digosok pake kapas. Tapi dengan memakai Amethyst Lippy Scrub ini, cukup membantu proses pengangkatan sisa lipstik yang susah dihapus tadi.

Tutorial: Romantic Blue and Purple Eye Makeup

This look was featured on my previous review about Silky Girl Duo Eyeliner (read it here). I already prepared  the pics for the pictorial but haven't got the mood to edit them. But well, here they are now. It looks gawjess for an evening makeup, and gives you that romantic glow on your eyes.

I use four colors to create this: black, dark brown, purple, and blue. Ok, let's start.

Do your eyebrow routine.

Apply an eye primer on all over the lid.

Using a tappered blending brush, apply a dark brown eyeshadow on your crease. Blend.

Using a clean blending brush, apply the purple on all over your lid except for a little area on the middle. Please note that you musn't cover the brown color applied earlier.

Tap an eyeshadow base on the empty space of your lid.

Pat the blue eyeshadow.

Then blend it with the purple. Don't go overblend.

Apply black eyeliner. Choose the eyeliner shape you love the most. For me, I'd go with a bold winged liner.

This step is optional. Apply your false eyelashes.

While waiting for the flasies glue dry, apply black pencil liner on your waterline.

With an angled brush, add black eyeshadow on your lower lash line then smudge it.

Last, apply some whte glitters on your tear duct area. You can also replace this with silver or white eyeshadow.

Apply some mascara and curl your lashes as the final touch.

And you are done!

Review: Silky Girl Double Intense Duo Eye Shadow (Purple Storm No. 2)

Di post sebelumnya gue udah ngebahas lipstik dari Silky Girl warna nude pink. Nah, sekarang gue mau bahas eyeshadow-nya yang warnanya itu kira-kira cocok sama warna lipstik tersebut. Hmmm, ngaku sih, kalo dua barang ini gue belinya barengan. Heheheh.

 

Eyeshadow dari Silky Girl ini namanya Double Intense Duo Eye Shadow. Sesuai dengan namanya, dia terdiri dari dua warna. Jenis yang lain yaitu Blockbuster Palette (kalo ga salah). Isinya ada 4 warna. Tapi pas gue liat, warnanya gak ada yang oke, atau yaaa ngga sesuai selera gue. Kurang 'banci' gitu, terlalu kalem.

 

Nah kalo Silky Girl Double Intense Duo Eye Shadow ini walaupun isinya cuma dua warna, tapi kombinasinya komplit, dari yang warna-warni, item putih, sampe warna coklat yang netral. Kayaknya gue musti koleksi semua variannya deh.

 

 

 

Ngomongin soal kemasan, Silky Girl Double Intense Duo Eye Shadow ini simpel banget bentuknya. Kotak item sama tutup bening, dari plastik. Gak banyak basa basi. Gue seneng deh ama kemasannya Silky Girl. Lugas dan tidak banyak basa-basi. Selaen simpel, kemasannya ini juga mungil, gak bakal makan tempat kalo dimasukin ke pouch.

 

Cuma ye, berhubung ini gue cemplungin ke dalem tas gue, tutup transparannya itu udah baret-baret cyin, jadinya udah rada dekil hehehe. Udah nggak seindah di foto ini lagi.

 Silky Girl Double Intense Duo Eye Shadow ini gue beli di counter seharga sekitar IDR 35-40K untuk 3.2 gram. Lupa persisnya berapa.

 

 

Walaupun kemasannya kecil, tapi keterangan yang tertera di produk ini cukup lengkap. Dari komposisi bahan, importir, produsen, barcode, netto, ada semua. Varian warnanya tertulis di pojok kanan atas. Punya gue adalah Purple Storm. Ga tau ye kenapa tiap milih eyeshadow palette yang warnanya terbatas, pasti dah, pastiii gue milih yang ada warna ungu sama birunya.
 

Trus itu yah, seperti biasa, aplikatornya juga simpel banget hehhe. Sangat bersahaja. Cuma double ended sponge yang tangkainya super pendek. Menyesuaikan dengan tempatnya juga sih. Gue pernah sok-sokan apply pake sponge nya ini. Susah bo! Pendek banget! Walaupun ini sebenernya cukup berguna sih dipake kalo dalam keadaan darurat aplikator.

 

 

Untuk Silky Girl Double Intense Duo Eye Shadow varian Purple Storm ini terdiri dari (seperti yang udah gue mention) biru dan ungu yang cukup jreng-jreng. Yang birunya itu dia agak shimmer, sedangkan ungunya berglitter halus. Fyi, ungunya itu cantik banget, ditambah dengan adanya glitter halus bikin dia terlihat jadi lebih cantik lagi. Nggak kok, gak norak sama sekali.

Teksturnya juga bener-bener seperti mentega, halus dan soft banget. Pas gue cocol pake jari sekali aja, udah langsung keluar warnanya.

 

Ini nih perbandingan warnanya dengan dan tanpa menggunakan eyeshadow base. Untuk eyeshadow base-nya di sini gue cuma pake merk Viva. Tanpa eyeshadow base, yang birunya udah langsung keluar, sedangkan yang ungu harus dipoles beberapa kali baru bisa terlihat seperti yang ada di gambar. Tapi kalo udah pake eyeshadow base sih dua-duanya udah langsung nampol kok. Terutama yang biru. Ungu-nya sih lumayan pigmented tapi gak se-oke yang biru.

 

Tapi tenang aja, karena biasanyaaaa... biasanya nih ya, apa yang di swatch di tangan, hasilnya belom tentu sama kalo udah di apply di mata. Secara kan yah, kulit di kelopak mata itu lebih berminyak daripada di lengan atau tangan yang lebih kering. Dan hal ini memang terbukti waktu gue pake di mata, palet ini emang intens banget warnanya. Itu kan gue cuma pake eye base Viva tipis-tipis aja. Laen cerita kalo misalnya kamu punya eye base yang jauh lebih oke kualitasnya.

 

Seperti contoh eye make up di bawah ini, gue pake NYX eyeshadow base, hasilnya jadi lebih intens lagi.

 

Intinya sih Silky Girl Double Intense Duo Eye Shadow ini gak susah dipake kok. Warnanya intens, buttery texture, gampang di blend terutama kalo udah pake eyeshadow base, nggak menyerbuk/powdery, dan ya itu tadi, yang ungunya cantik banget karena berglitter.

Gue udah pernah pake eyeshadow ini dua kali. Pertama waktu bikin EOTD itu, di rumah doang hehehe. Iya luntur sih kalo kena air wudhu, gak mungkin ga luntur. Tapi pernah sekali gue pake kondangan buat malem. Gue dandannya sore jam 4, sampe pulang jam 9 malem juga masih nempel aja warnanya karena gak kena air wudhu sama sekali. Intinya sih kalo gak dikucek-kucek atau dipake berenang, eyeshadow ini akan baik-baik saja nempel di mata. Jangan berharap terlalu banyak karena produk ini harganya juga gak mahal-mahal banget. Hehehe.

Nah, ini foto muka gue pas merem, sengaja emang mau nunjukin warna eyeshadownya. Gue cuma tambahin eyeshadow warna coklat di bagian tulang alis, sisanya cuma pake produk ini.

Keliatan gak glitternya. Love it!
