Review: Inez Cosmetics Natural Color Eyeshadow Palette

Baru-baru ini Inez Cosmetics ngeluarin rangkaian palet eyeshadow yang isinya banyak, bukan cuma seri quad yang isinya 4 warna dengan kemasan biru itu. Jadi pas tau mereka launch palet ini, gue lumayan penasaran, karena eyeshadow seri quad sebelumhya itu lumayan harum namanya dalam blantika eyeshadow nusantara.

Karena gue ga tau di mana toko kosmetik yang jual palet ini, dan males nyari tau juga, akhirnya gue order ini di web resminya langsung. Sekitar seminggu lebih dikit, orderan gue nyampe. Lengkap dengan bonus eyeshadow powdernya yang gue udah punya sebelomnya, hahaha. Gapapa deh.

Pas paket nyampe, gue ga nyangka sama sekali kalo si palet item itu tadi ternyata terbungkus dalam sebuah kotak item matte pula. Jadi beneran kayak barang ekslusif gitu. So far gue suka ama kemasannya. Lumayanlah penyegar di antara kemasan Inez yang biru-biru itu. Tapi begitu kotaknya dibuka, ternyata besar paletnya ga segede kotaknya, mungkin cuma sebesar mini tab.

Palet ini tidak dilengkapi kaca atau aplikator sama sekali. Mungkin karena ini dimaksudkan buat para profesional ya, alias makeup artist. Mereka kan pasti udah punya aplikator yang canggih punya dan ga perlu kaca juga. Itu sih kalo menurut logika awam gue. Btw, kemasan ini mengingatkan gue sama LT Pro Perfecting Eye Color yang udah lama beredar di pasaran. Bedanya, LT Pro isinya cuma 10, sedangkan Inez 15. Oh ya, gue seneng karena untuk produk ini, Inez mau repot-repot memberi nama untuk tiap nama warna eyeshadownya.

Dari kiri ke kanan:

• Egyptian sable: ini warna coklat tua, pigmentasinya dahsyat, dan lumayan bershimmer.
• Cognac: warna copper metalik dengan tekstur yang sangat lembut kayak mentega. Pigmentasi, ga usah gue sebut apa ya, cakep banget.
• Natural peach: kenapa ini disebut peach ya? Gue bilang sih ini rose gold, finishing-nya metalik banget. Teksturnya juga lembut. Pigmentasi dahsyat.
• Gold shimmer: warna champagne, pas banget dipake buat highliter, shimmernya ga lebay. Pigmentasinya biasa aja.
• Mandarin: ini baru namanya warna gold, shimmery. Pigmentasi lumayan.

Dari kiri ke kanan:

• Ruby: warnanya kayak merah hati tapi ada nuansa ungu. Shimmernya dikiiiit banget, sekilas kayak matte. Pigmentasi oke.
• Pressed violet: warna pink keunguan dengan shimmer yang gue bilang lumayan nyolot. Pigmentasinya lumayan oke.
• Wild Rose: ini adeknya warna Pressed Violet di atas. Bisa dibilang ini baby pink yang bershimmer. Pigmentasi juga bagus.
• Sky blue: biru muda bershimmer
• Light grey: namanya sih light grey, tapi karena dia shimmer banget, bisa dibilang ini silver.

Baris 3

Dari kiri ke kanan:

• Raw chestnut: ini warna batako, shimmernya dikit, hampir seperti matte, dan pigmentasinya luarrrr biasa. Sooo buttery.
• Golden nutmeg: adeknya Raw Chestnut tapi menyerbuk dan shimmer banget. Pigmentasinya juga ga sebagus kakaknya.
• Carnation: ini baru namanya peach, shimmery, dan agak menyerbuk. Pigmentasi lumayan.
• Mint green: warna hijau muda dengan sedikit banget shimmer. Pan-nya agak keras dan pigmentasinya ga terlalu bagus.
• Spring bud: Adeknya Mint Green, formulanya mirip banget, tapi dengan pigmentasi yang lebih baik.

Setelah nyolek satu-satu pan-nya, ada satu yang ganjel di gue, produk ini sih kayaknya cuma rangkuman dari palet-palet quad Inez. Liat aja contohnya untuk baris pertama. Warna Egyptian Sable, Cognac, Natural Peach, dan Gold Shimmer adalah warna-warna dari palet quad Venice (yang gue udah punyaaaa booo T_T). Kemudian Sky Blue dan Light Grey itu rangkuman dari palet quad Alaska. Jangan lupakan juga Mint Green dan Spring Bud yang diambil dari palet quad Alaska. And last but not least, Raw Chestnut, Golden Nutmeg, dan Carnation yang sepertinya berasal dari palet quad Athena.

Pusing ya bacanya? Gue juga pening ngetiknya. Intinya, kalo kalian pengen koleksi eyeshadow Inez bolehlah punya palet ini. Tapi kalo kamu udah punya beberapa palet quad-nya, hmmm cukuplah berpuas diri dengan apa yang udah kalian punya. Because they're similar.

Terlepas dari fakta itu, gue bilang kualitas palet ini cukup bagus kok. Sebagian besar pigmentasinya cakep banget, teksturnya lembut kayak mentega, dan bukan tipe warna yang kalo di blend malah ngilang. Harga resmi di web-nya saat ini adalah Rp. 225.000. Lumayan panteslah dihargain segitu. Kualitasnya persis seperti apa yang gue harapkan dari eyeshadow Inez.

Ohhh iya, ada satu lagi kekurangannya, kaga ada warna matte-nya, cyiin!

Omaigod,

Blog gue udah lama banget dianggurin. Ada kali sebulan lebih. Ibarat rumah kosong, pasti udah banyak banget sawan, plus di garasi pasti udah banyak pup kucing berserakan.

Gue mau berbagi pengalaman pake eyeshadow buatan lokal dari Inez. Sebenernya post ini udah ada di draft dari bulan Maret atau April ya. Ya gitu lah. Gue beli ini di toko Dan+dan dengan harga Rp. 48.000. Asli gue demen banget ke toko satu ini. Jujur aja, gue lebih excited mampir ke Dan-dan ketimbang Sephora atau Sogo misalnya. Mungkin karna di Dan+dan lebih banyak barang yang harganya masuk ke kantong gue. Misalnya gue bawa duit dua ratus ribu perak bisa borong banyak kosmetik. Coba lo bawa duit segitu ke Sephora. Paling cuma dapet eyeshadow sebiji. 

Cukup basa-basinya. Langsung kita bahas produknya aja. Eyeshadow quad dari Inez ini sebenernya udah diluncurkan bertahun-tahun lalu. Awalnya, bentuk kemasannya agak lebih persegi. Yang versi ini adalah bentuk terbarunya. Kemasannya, ya udah lah ya. Inez gitu loh. Ga ada yang istimewa sebenarnya. Cuma kotak seukuran telapak tangan dengan warna biru khas Inez. Di dalamnya terdapat cermin yang lumayan bermartabat. Bodinya lumayan tebal dan kokoh. Dan jangan lupakan sebuah dual ended applicator yang gak terlalu banyak berfungsi, at least gue ngerasanya begitu.

Eyeshadow quad seri Pattaya ini didominasi dengan warna pink yang natural dan pas banget dipake buat sehari-hari.

Atas, kiri ke kanan:

• Dusty Pink. Warna ini gue bilang bisa disambi buat blusher. Teksturnya agak powdery, pigmentasinya biasa aja. Warna ini matte banget. Gue sehari-hari paling sering pake warna ini buat contour di lipatan mata. Pas banget kalo lagi bosen pake contour coklat.
• Frosty white. Warna putih cool tone yang sangat-sangat shimmery. Cocok buat highlight di tulang alis atau tear duct. Pigmentasinya gila-gilaan.

Bawah, kiri ke kanan:

• Shimmery baby pink. Ini warna kalo di swatch agak mirip sama si frosty white. Pigmentasi standar lah.
• Dark mauve. Gue bisa bilang warna ini kakak seperguruannya dusty pink. Warna ini mirip banget kayak warna kulit yang abis dikerok karna masuk angin. Hasilnya agak shimmer tapi dikiiiit banget, jadi sepintas kayak matte. Pigmentasinya biasa aja.

Beberapa waktu lalu gue sempet juga membahas eyeshadow seri ini yang Venice (klik di sini). Kalo gue bandingin dengan kualitas Venice (dari segi pigmentasi, buttery texture, dll), jelas Pattaya kalah, walau gue bilang kualitasnya lumayan oke. At least kalo buat gue pake sehari-hari, pigmentasi model begini lumayan cakep karena jadinya ga terlalu nyaplok banget di mata. Ngerti ga maksud gue? Hehehe.

Untuk ketahanan lumayan bagus. Tanpa menggunakan eyeshadow base aja, warna dusty pink itu bisa bertahan seharian di mata gue yang berminyak, walau kena wudhu juga. Apalagi kalo misalnya kalian pake eyeshadow base dengan kualitas yahud.

Overall, eyeshadow Pattaya dari Inez ini gue bilang cukup recommended kok. Pas banget kalo kalian nyari eyeshadow warna natural tapi bosen dengan nuansa coklat. Bolehlah pake yag agak-agak nge-pink dikit. Ganti suasana.

Oh ya, bikin review eyeshadow palette rasanya ga komplit tanpa bikin eyemakeup looknya. Gue sempet nyobain bikin cutcrease pake produk ini. Mari dicek video tutorialnya.

Video Tutorial: Golden Halo Eye Makeup Using Venice Palette from Inez Cosmetics

Naaaah, jadi sesuai janji beberapa ratus tahun silam, gue mau kasi tutorial eyemakeup yang gue pamerin di review eyeshadow Venice dari Inez. Kalo kamu lupa, atau belom baca reviewnya, silakan klik di MARI.

Eye makeup ini judulnya Halo. Biasanya halo eyemakeup itu menggunakan warna gelap di sudut dalam dan luar mata, dan eyeshadow berwarna terang diaplikasikan di tengah mata. Lebih nendang lagi kalo di tengah itu kamu tumpuk glitter. Mata jadi keliatan kinyis-kinyis.

Duh, maap ya kalo gambar di atas agak kurang jelas efek Halo-nya. Tapi kalo di syut close up, dia keliatan kok. Hiks...

Review: Inez Color Contour Plus Eyeshadow Collection in Venice (05)

Palet warna coklat yang gue punya itu udah dua: Maybelline The Nudes dan ELF 144 Neutral Palette. Buat gue itu aja udah lebay banget, soalnya menurut gue coklat itu cuma ada coklat muda banget, coklat muda sedeng, dan coklat tua. Udah, tiga doang. Jadi ngapain juga punya palet warna coklat banyak-banyak?

Cuma ya pas gue iseng ke toko Dan+dan trus liat palet ini gue langsung suka banget sama warna coklatnya, akhirnya gue beli. Walaupun menurut gue harganya lumayan juga untuk sebuah palet dengan isi empat warna.

Harga persisnya gue lupa, tapi di web Inez dibandrol dengan harga Rp. 48.000. Yaaa mestinya harga di offline gak beda jauh lah ya.

Produk ini dikemas dalam palet berwarna biru khas Inez, plus ada kotaknya juga. Sayangnya dia gak bersegel. Jadi satu-satunya indikasi keperawanannya adalah dengan melototin satu-satu pan-nya, udah ada bekas sidik jari atau belum. Kalo udah ada, mendingan lu minta yang baru deh.

Produk ini terdiri dari 10 varian yang masing-masingnya memiliki 4 koleksi warna. Tiap varian memiliki nuansa warna masing-masing, dari pink, biru, hijau, ungu, sampe coklat. Yang gue punya adalah Venice (No. 05) dengan nuansa coklat keemasan.

Cakep ya isi dalemnya, keliatan mahal. Hehehehe...

Isi di dalamnya dilengkapi dengan cermin yang lumayan gede dan dual-ended sponge applicator. Pan eyeshadow-nya itu juga berasa empuk banget. Bahasa kerennya sih buttery.

Deskripsi warna:

• Kiri atas: warna apa ini ya? Bronze atau rose gold ya? Gue ga yakin sih, tapi warna ini bernuansa kemerahan dan metalik. Pigmented banget. My favorite shade in this palette.
• Kanan atas: warna champagne dan shimmery. Bagus buat highlight di wajah juga nih. Pigmentasi agak kurang oke.
• Kiri bawah: warna emas dan bernuansa metalik. Pigmentasi sedang. 
• Kanan bawah: coklat tua. Shimmer-nya ga terlalu keliatan, malah diliat sekilas kayak matte. Agak susah diratain.

Pada gambar di atas, gue menggunakan eyeshadow base NYX warna putih. Keliatan banget kan, dengan bantuan eyeshadow base, warna yang ada jadi lebih gampang diratain. Kecuali untuk warna no. 1 yang bronze, dengan atau tanpa base udah pigmented banget.

Eyeshadow ini teksturnya selain empuk juga menyerbuk banget. Begitu dicolek pake kuas atau sponge, serbuknya langsung berantakan. Jangankan dicolek, pas gue beli dalam keadaan baru aja, serbuknya udah banyak yang belepotan di dalem palet. Dan entah apa karena warnanya senada, pas gue blend di mata, warnanya jadi saling ngeblend setelah beberapa jam alias nyatu. Jadi ga keliatan mana yang gold, mana yang coklat tua. Hahahah... Mungkin gue-nya yang terlalu napsu ngeblend, tapi tiga kali gue pake, pengalaman gue sih sama. Atau maybe eyeshadow base gue yang kualitasnya so-so?

Well, dibalik kekurangan di atas, gue cukup dibuat jatuh cinta sama palet ini. Pigmentasinya oke, ketahanannya juga lumayan. Apalagi meskipun tergolong warna coklat, tapi nuansanya agak beda dibanding warna coklat keluaran lokal pada umumnya. Malah gue pengen eksekusi beberapa varian lagi dari seri ini.

Oh ya, sebelum post ini gue akhiri, mari gue pamerin EOTD gue menggunakan palet eyeshadow ini. Asli cakep loh kalo udah dipake. Bikin mata keliatan cling soalnya dia shimmer-shimmer gitu.

Review: Maybelline The Nudes Palette

Maybelline The Nudes Palette was actually launched last year (if I'm not mistaken) and it felt like forever to wait until this finally launched in Indonesia a couple of months ago. Damn!

Maybelline The Nudes Palette comes in a black plastic packaging with a transparent lid, so you can see through all the 12 colors in it. Also included a dual ended sponge applicator. Too bad they don't include a decent mirror inside. I think instead of a transparent lid, they could have been replaced it with a mirror.

On the backside of the packaging you can see the ingredients list, which I didn't captured properly. My bad. It also configure several eyeshadow application, like a mini tutorial, from quds, trios, to duos. This is really helpful since the palettes have 12 similar tones and sometimes it just makes me confuse where to start, or what combination works best.

Like I said, it also included with a dual sponge applicator. I haven't used this sponge yet, but it seems pretty decent, judging from the its texture.

The color ranges from beiges, sands, taupes, to bronzes. Let's take a look at each color swatch from each row.

Note: I use very light hand to do the swatches using my fingertips with several swipes. I swatched it on bare hands and with an eye base. The base I use for this is Mizzu Eye Base Essentials. The review will be up soon.

1. This is a light champagne color with metallic finish. The pan is quite hard and the pigmentation kinda sucks even with eye base. But the metallic finish is so pretty and makes it the best color for highlighting the brow bones or even cheek bones.
2. A light taupe color with a soft shimmery finish. The pigmentation is ok and the eye base application doesn't make it any better.
3. A skintone color. As you can see this color is almost invisible since it matches my wrist tone perfectly, so I think this works best as a base color to neutralize your lid after wearing a white eye primer. This is a bit chalky but the pigmentation is pretty good.
4. Bronze. This is a very nice shimmery bronze with great pigmentation even without eye base. The pan also felt buttery.
5.  I think this color is exactly the same as color No. 2, but this one has a softer shimmery finish.
6. A dark taupe. Great pigmentation even without eyeshadow base. 
7. This one is like cousins with No. 2 and 5, but it has greater amount of shimmer which makes it look a little bit bronze. This one has a good pigmentation and buttery.
8. A perfect dark brown shade with cool undertone. It has soft shimmery finish. Buttery texture. Good pigmentation and even greater with eyeshadow base. This color is the gem!
9. This is gold tone with metallic finish. The pigmentation is ok and it has a hard texture. 
10. Dark brown with warm undertone and shimmery finish. Great pigmentation without eyebase and even greater with it. T must say this color is the most pigmented one in this palette. Truly a gem!
11. Champagne color with shimmery finish. The pigmentation is just ok and very powdery.
12. Supposed to be black but this actually looks like a very dark grey. Poor pigmentation although an eye base might help a little, very chalky, a bit streaky and hard to blend. The most disappointing shade.

None of the colors in Maybelline The Nudes Palette has a matte finish. They're all either metallic, shimmery, or satin. Although some shades tend to look matte because the shimmer is very soft. Only several shades deliver great pigmentation (No. 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9) and the rest are either okay or even chalky. I don't say that the colors with lesser pigmentation is not great either, they might work for those of you who wants subtle eye makeup for daily basis, instead of looking all bold.

Applying an eyeshadow primer/base is highly recommended as some shades are hard to blend and tend to wash out when I try to blend them. If primer is not enough, I would suggest to dip your brushes into a water or mixing liquid beforehand. The combination of wet brushes and eye primer is amazing, especially for chalky colors like No. 11 and 12.

So, overall, I can say I like this palette but can't love it since the quality is just so-so. But this is a drugstore brand and comparing this to UD palettes is just not fair. I must say this is a good palette for daily usage and for those of you who still learning to do your makeup on your own.

I forgot how much exactly this is, but I think I bought this for IDR 120K on Maybelline counter. 

Review: Sleek Make Up iDivine Sunset Palette

This is the second eye shadow palette I own from Sleek Make Up. I bought their Acid Palette and I like it a lot because most of the colors are crazily pigmented. This Sunset Palette is more suitable to be worn during summer. Tapi di Bekasi selalu musim panas kan. Heheheh...

This palette comes in a black box and black palette with a huge mirror inside, also a dual ended sponge applicator which is actually pretty awesome but I don't use it quite often. Sunset Palette, just like the name itself, is packed with hues of sunset colors. Although I'm not pretty sure about the blue. Which part of blue represent a sunset? The sea color?

There are two versions in Sleek palettes regarding their pans: the one with waffle pattern, and the other is like the one I have. Some have the color description, and others don't. I have no idea how this could happen. I don't think mine's fake anyway since I bought this from a reputable online stores.

All of the colors are equally pigmented and buttery. The last three colors may not seem so much due to my skin tone, but applied on darker skins, they'll look fantastic. They might be great colors for highlighter or base.

Let me try to explain the color one by one:

1. It is a lightly shimmery black. Well, I don't call this a shimmery since the effect is so light, but it's not matte either. Applied on my eye lid, and I almost can't see the shinny effect.
2. Red with orange undertone with shimmery finish. Excellent pigmentation.
3. I don;t know what to call this color. Copper maybe?  It has shimmery finish and great pigmentation.
4. Bright orange with good pigmentation and shimmery finish.
5. Gold. It has metallic finish and super shinny. One of the best gold shade I've ever found. 
6. Turquoise blue with shimmery finish. The pigmentation is not as good as other colors in the palette. But still it has a good color pay-off.
7. Dark brown, almost looks like dark copper. Shimmery finish, good pigmentation, and smooth textured.
8. Somewhere between and red and brown. This color reminds me of Viva eyebrow pencil color in brown. 
9. Lighter version of the color No. 8. Good pigmentation, soft, and buttery.
10. My skin tone color but with shimmery finish. Great color as base.
11. Darker version of color No. 10. A bit of a rose gold. 
12. Light pink with metallic finish and great pigmentation.

None of the colors are matte, they're all either shimmery of metallic. Even the black has a soft shimmery effect. Some colors like the color No. 1 and 6 is a bit powdery. I usually use eye shadow base to lessen this powdery problem. Other than that they're all smooth, buttery, richly pigmented, and blend beautifully. 

I bought this in my local online store for about IDR 150K to 170K (I forgot as usual). I think this palette is great for you who are bored with so many neutral color palettes, but doesn't want to go overboard with bright colors.
