IBB Makeup Challenge April 2014 with MAKEOVER INDONESIA

This April Indonesian Beauty Blogger Makeup Challenge is sponsored by MakeOver Indonesia. The theme this month is "Find Your Signature Color". It's pretty much like the picture below:

For further info about this competition you can check it out here.

These are my looks I will submit anytime soon:

First Look

This was inspired by my color rainbow socks, so I literally put all the colors in there on my eyes.

This is a very simple look, the only thing that makes it looks complicated is because the ranges of colors LOL.

How to:
  1. Apply bright yellow shade.
  2. Apply bright orange color. Blend.
  3. Fill out your outter lids with a shocking pink shade. Blend.
  4. Cut your crease with dark purple, then blend it with a lighter purple.
  5. Apply light green on your middle lower lash bed. Blend.
  6. Fill out the rest of your lash bed with a blue color. Wing it.
  7. Fill your eyebrows with red eyeshadow (red lip pencil works better, but I don't have one!)
  8. Frame your upper eyelids with black gel/liquid eyeliner, and using an angled brush, color your lower water line with a turqoise shade.
  9. Apply false eyelashes (optional) and apply mascara. Curl your lashes, and now you look crazy already!
Credits:
  • Sleek iDivine Acid eyeshadow pallet 570 (yellow, orange, shocking pink)
  • Coastal Scents 120 eyeshadow pallet (red on the eyebrows, dark purple, blue, turqoise)
  • LA Colors eyeshadow pallete (light purple, green)
  • Viva cream eyeshadow (red on the eyebrows)
  • Etude House Proof 10 eye primer
  • Etude House Gel Liner (black)
  • Itsdiva lashes
  • Ageha softlenses
  • Maybelline Falsies mascara in black
For the lips I use shocking pink Etude House Bloom Lipstick (PK013) and then I changed my mind and replace it with a nude shade of NYX Round Lipstick (Thalia). I actually wanted to do something more with the lips but it was dark already and I was pretty hungry XD

Second Look

Idea of this look was coming from the dusk and dawn sky, when all the pink and purple burst up there. Subhanallah.

First of all, start with priming your upper and lower eyelids!

How to:
  1. Color your entire lids and crease with purple.
  2. Blend it with fuschia on the outter V.
  3. Apply the same purple on your lower lids. Wing it downward.
  4. Fill your waterline with white pencil as a base, then top it with shocking pink using an angled brush.
  5. Line your upper eye lids with black eyeliner. Wing it.
  6. You know what to do right? Mascara, fake eyelashes (optional), and draw the eyebrows with black color (Actually you can draw your eyebrows first, whichever you're comfortable with).

Credits:
  • NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk (as eye primer)
  • Coastal Scents 120 eyeshadow pallet
  • My Darling eyeliner (black)
  • NYX Retractable eyeliner in white (for waterline)
  • Mayelline Falsies Mascara (black)

IBB Make Up Challenge March 2014 "Natural Glow"

Yay! Another makeup challenge! You know what I like about blog challenge? It's not the competition itself, but it gives me the idea of my next blog article. LOL.

This March 2014, Indonesian Beauty Blogger community, sponsored by Menard, presents another makeup challenge with the theme: natural glow.

Here's the banner. You can read further info on IBB official site.

It's not very hard to find the idea of natural makeup, because that's the look I always do everyday. It's almost like 'no makeup' makeup. The key for this look, besides using the shades similar to your flesh tones, is: by not applying eyeliner on your eyelids.

Let's check out the tutorial, it's very simple.

  1. Define your eyebrow and apply eyeshadow base on all over your upper eyelids.
  2. Apply flesh tone eyeshadow on all over upper eyelids.
  3. Cut your crease using dark brown eyeshadow.
  4. Line your upper waterline with waterproof eyeliner pencil. Remember, your upper waterline only!
  5. Curl your lashes and apply black mascara on your lower and upper eyelashes.
  6. Line your lower waterline with white pencil.

For the face:
Contour your nose, apply blusher and highlight (I use Etude House nymph aura volumizer) on your cheek, then apply pink tinted lip balm/gloss (I use Lip Ice in pink).

And you are done! It's as simple as that!
Oh, actually you can skip the step #2 which I usually did. So basically I just need one eyeshadow: dark brown.

Final look:

See how a single smile can really change a person's face shape? LOL

Why did I choose all the same three angles? Boring....

And by the way, I was listed as the top 5 finalists on IBB MUC last month. Sheesh... The only look I submitted XD

Kindly spare your precious time to vote, yaaaa. Vote for me... Errr I mean, your favorite! Hahahah.

Have you submitted your masterpiece for this month challenge? Well, what are you waiting for?! Go create one already! You can submit up to three looks!

See you then! ^_____^

IBB MUC February 2014 "Summer Fairy Tale"

This is my second months since the first time I started blogging, and the first time I become one of the participants of Makeup Challenge presented by Indonesia Beauty Blogger community. The theme is Summer Fairytale.

Ok, anyway, this what comes in my mind about a summer fairy, or at least, this is what I wanna look like if I were reborn as a fairy:

How to do:
  1. Apply eyeshadow base and draw your eyebrow.
  2. Draw your upper liner and the "wings" using gel liner.
  3. Apply blue eyeshadow on all over your upper eyelids. Then apply purple and green shadows.
  4. Apply black eyeshadow to cut your crease.
  5. Draw your lower waterline with white pencil and your lash line with black pencil.
  6. Dust pink glitter on the "wings". Use petroleum jelly as the glue.
  7. Retouch your upper liner and the wing with gel liner again.
  8. Glue your fake eyelashes.

Full face view:

I look feisty for a fairy. I think my face suits a witch better with all red and black nuance. Hahaha.

These are the tools I used.

Base makeup:

Eye makeup:

Lips:
  • Viva Body Painting (purple)

This competition actually allows us to submit three looks, but IDK. Hope I will get the chance to create the second and even the third one, if my kid is asleep. Hahaha.

I kinda remember something after finishing the makeup. Why did I choose purple as my color theme for summer fairytale? What have I thought? Oh, what the hell. Winning or not, I still enjoy the process tho'. ^^

Oh, more snapshots using my phone camera. I think I look better using my phone camera thanks to its blur effect. LOL.

For other IBB MUC participants, I wish you all good luck. See you!
