Review; Sleek Makeup i-Divine Palette in Au Naturel (601)

REVIEW-SLEEK-MAKEUP-IDIVINE-AU-NATUREL-ESYBABSY

As much as I love rainbow color eyeshadow palette, I do love collecting palettes filled with arrays of earth tone shades and this Au Naturel Palette has been in my wishlist since like forever. Well, actually, almost all of eyeshadow palettes launched by Sleek are in my wishlist since they are famous with their quality and reasonable price.

It has 12 months PAO (Period After Opening).

This palette comes in a simple black packaging with a decent built-in mirror and a double ended sponge applicator. I don't use sponge much lately, so I don't think this item would be such a good use for me.

There are 12 neutral colours in this palette. The top row are the majority of matte and lighter shades that are suitable for daily look or no makeup look, while you'll find most of the shimmery and darker ones on the bottom row, suitable for night look. I fell in love right away seeing this range of colors since I can tell exactly that these are also suitable for contouring and highlighting my face.

  1. Nougat. A true white with matte finish.
  2. Nubuck. Light taupe color with matte finish.
  3. Cappucino. Beige shade with matte finishing and poor pigmentation.
  4. Honeycomb. A yellowish brown with matte finish.
  5. Toast. A matte light peach. Low pigmentation.
  6. Taupe. A metallic champagne color with loads of shimmer.
  7. Conker. Shimmery dark bronze.
  8. Moss. A dark taupe with a little shimmer.
  9. Bark. A matte dark brown with cool undertone.
  10. Mineral Earth. Shimmery dark bronze.
  11. Regal. Matte reddish brown.
  12. Noir. A matte black.
Unfortunately, the pigmentation are a bit of a disappointment on the top row. I don't know if it's just my skin tone but they are barely seen when I swatch them on my wrist, except for the Taupe color. The colors on the first row, well, most of them, felt hard on the pan and chalky. For the color Nougat, Cappucino, and Honeycomb, instead of using them as proper eyeshadows, I use them to set my eye primer to even out the eyeshadow colors I'm gonna be using later. Taupe is a perfect color to use as highlighter, whether on the face or eye areas. And finally, I usually use Toast and Nubuck  for transition colors. At least there are some good use of them.

The second row are filled with wonderful pigmentation. Noir, in my opinion, has the best quality. Just like any other black colors in Sleek iDivine palette, Noir has the smoothest texture, easy to blend, and great pigmentation.

Well, apart from many good reviews about this palette, I would say this product is just so so. They are filled with many beautiful neutral shades tho', but unfortunately the first row is such a disappointment. I bought this palette for around IDR 160,000 (I forgot how much exactly) in www.beautyhaulindo.com. To be honest, I'd rather pay more to get better quality palettes. I think my search for neutral palette has not ended yet.
